One of the common questions we get is this: “I understand that advanced AI could change the world as we know it, but what can I do about it?” There are a lot of different ways to answer this question:
- Take advanced AI seriously. This is not a science fiction story. Technology is rapidly advancing, and we could see transformational changes within the next few years. Consider the implications and act accordingly.
- Think critically and discern what seems plausible and what does not. No one knows for sure what the future holds. Entertain all views, but be skeptical of anyone who says they KNOW what happens next.
- Spread the word. Tell your friends, family, and colleagues about your concern for our lack of preparation for advanced AI. Share information with them and keep them informed. Post regularly on social media.
- Join our cause. Sign up for our newsletter. Keep in touch. Send us your thoughts and interesting articles you come across.
