Dr. Stuart Russell is a professor of computer science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he directs the Center for Human-Compatible AI. A leading expert in artificial intelligence and AI safety, his work focuses on ensuring advanced AI systems remain aligned with human interests. He has advised governments and international organizations on AI governance and autonomous weapons, including the United Nations and World Economic Forum. Russell is the coauthor of Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach, the leading textbook in the field, and author of Human Compatible.
