Charles Camosy teaches moral theology and bioethics—with increasing focus on artificial intelligence—at the Catholic University of America. He previously taught bioethics and theology at the Creighton School of Medicine and St. Joseph Seminary, and spent 14 years on the theology faculty at Fordham University after completing his PhD at Notre Dame. He serves on the USCCB’s AI Task Force, led the Catholic theological amicus brief in Anthropic PBC v. U.S. Department of War, and recently spoke with over one-hundred Capitol Hill legislative office staffers over a lunch-briefing on Magnifica Humanitas. The author of eleven books, including Resisting Throwaway Culture, his writing has appeared in the American Journal of Bioethics, Journal of Medicine and Philosophy, The Atlantic, The New York Times, and the New York Post.
