Ari Gershengorn serves as State Policy Manager at The Alliance for Secure AI, where he works with state legislators and their staff to build durable, enforceable safeguards on advanced AI across the country.
Ari joins the Alliance from the New York State Assembly. As Legislative Director to Assemblymember Alex Bores, he led the research, drafting and passage of the RAISE Act, among the strongest laws in the nation requiring frontier AI developers to publish safety plans and report incidents. He helped pass leading state bills on labeling AI-generated content and on chatbot safety, leading negotiations with the Governor’s office, the State Senate, the Attorney General’s office, and the technology industry. He also served as Senior Policy Advisor on Bores’s congressional campaign.
Ari graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a B.A. in International Relations.
