We participated in a policy discussion in Austin exploring some of the most challenging questions surrounding advanced AI systems, including personhood, governance, and accountability, diving headfirst into the policies quietly being debated in Washington and beyond. What happens when machines start claiming legal status? Who is accountable when algorithms make decisions that affect real lives? And how do we protect human agency, freedom, and responsibility in a world increasingly run by code?The event engaged more than 50 attendees in a thoughtful conversation about the future of AI policy.
