The Alliance for Secure AI exists to drive the narrative about the need to secure AI for America — and all of humanity. We are here to educate the public, guide discourse, and ensure society is prepared for the rapidly-approaching era of advanced AI.

This is not about fearmongering. It’s about telling the truth: AI is a powerful tool, and like any powerful tool, it must be governed with care — before it governs us. This means changing the way leaders talk about AI — from corporate hype to human consequences — and creating the political space for meaningful action.
The Challenge
AI is no longer a futuristic idea — it is here, and it is accelerating. From weapons development to disinformation to job disruption, this technology holds both immense promise and unprecedented risk. The systems we are creating are powerful, complex, and increasingly unpredictable — even to their own developers.
The biggest threat we face is the absence of safeguards to ensure AI is used wisely, transparently, and in the public interest. While Big Tech companies race to deploy more advanced models, policymakers and the public need to be involved in the conversation.
